The number of visitors traveling by road dropped by 21.6%; by air up 9.5%, and by sea up 25.9%. In the reviewed period, the number of foreign arrivals saw a year-on-year surge of 28.8%. Especially, the number of Asian and African guests picked up 33.5%; those from Americas up 13.3%; Europe up 5.6%; and Australia down 0.3%.
In the first nine months, over 10.1 million Asian visitors travelled to Viet Nam, accounting for 78.9% of total foreign guests. The number of European guests was estimated at 1.61 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.3%./.
