VN, US cooperate in overcoming consequences of explosive remnants

VGP – US Ambassador to Viet Nam David Shear and Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Bui Hong Linh on December 16 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in overcoming consequences of explosive remnants of the war in Viet Nam.

The MoU aims to establish a long-term mechanism to strengthen human cooperation between the two sides in overcoming consequences of bomb and mine left over by the war in Viet Nam through exchanging delegations and documents.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Hong Linh said that the MoU plays a crucial role in improving cooperation in overcoming consequences of explosive remnants of the war and boosting up the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The signing of the MoU is a crucial step in realizing the two sides' joint vision, confirmed Ambassador David Shear.
