The Deputy FM made the assessment on December 16 in Bangkok at the third Asia-Middle East Dialogue Ministerial Meeting (AMED III).
According to Mr. Hưng, Asia in general and ASEAN in particular are rich in agricultural resources and able to maintain stable supplies of food for the world in the future.
In addition, with policies on investment incentives, ASEAN is a promising region for growth and a charming destination for foreign players, said the Deputy FM.
As the second biggest rice exporter accounting for a fifth of the global rice export, Việt Nam is ready to share its experience of agricultural development with other countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Meanwhile, the Middle East functions as the energy hub of the world with active investors.
Mr. Hưng hailed the cooperative mechanism between ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and voiced his support for further linkages between the two sides on trade, investment, agriculture-food, energy and labor./.
