VN seeks New Zealand’s audit experience

VGP – Việt Nam hopes to exchange experience with New Zealand in making auditing plans, vocational training programs and applying environment and legal regulations to auditing organizations and activities, said Vietnamese Chief Auditor.

Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) Đinh Tiến Dũng made the statement while working with New Zealand Controller and Auditor-General Lyn Provost during his visit to the New Zealand from December 10-16.

Mr. Dũng also highlighted the importance of building cooperation between the two countries’ audit offices.

During the visit, the Vietnamese Chief Auditor hoped to learn about the relations between the New Zealand Office of the Controller and Auditor-General and Parliament and Government agencies as the SAV is proposing its legal status in the Constitution.

As an independent member of the Parliament, the New Zealand Office of the Controller and Auditor-General carries out audits and inspections in the public sector to ensure the budget is used in a reasonable and effective manner./.
