VN seeks credit for biodiversity conservation in GMS

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has recently approved the negotiating outcomes and content of the Project on Greater Mekong Sub-region Biodiversity Conservation Corridor (Second phase) in Việt Nam.

The Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam was authorized to sign credit agreement with a representative of the Asian Development Bank.

The second phase of the project will be implemented in three central provinces of Quảng Nam, Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên Huế.

The project targets to establish biodiversity conservation corridors in the provinces, maintain connectivity of the regional ecosystem, adapt to climate change, and bring about economic benefits for local residents./.
