The Earth Hour was initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), targeting to raise public awareness of climate change and energy saving. It has been described as the largest world grassroots movement for the environment, with the involvement of around 7,000 cities in 172 countries and territories so far.
Held in Viet Nam for 11th years, the campaign raises public awareness of energy saving and using energy in an efficient way.
The capital city of Ha Noi will respond to the 2019 Earth Hour with a series of activities which will begin on March 9 and culminate in an event from 20:00 to 21:30 on March 30 at the Cach Mang Thang Tam Square in the city’s downtown Hoan Kiem district./.
