VN reports seven newly-imported COVID-19 cases

VGP – All the seven newly-imported COVID-19 cases confirmed this afternoon are Russian experts, raising the patient tally to 408, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The latest patients, who are among passengers onboard the flight IO4405, landed at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11.

They were first tested negative for the virus on July 13 but they were confirmed positive after the second round of tests on Wednesday.

Patient 204 is a 54-year old man.

Patient 403 is a 55-year old man.

Patient 404 is a 49-year old man.

Patient 405 is a 55-year old man.

Patient 406 is a 46-year old man.

Patient 407 is a 46-year old man.

Patient 408 is a 42-year old man.

All of them are being treated at a hospital in the soutnern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau

With the above patients, the number of imported cases rose to 268, the committee said.
