Mr. Nghi made the statement at the Foreign Ministry’s regular press conference in Ha Noi on November 22.
The Chinese act has violated Viet Nam’s national sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes, and its jurisdiction rights to related territorial waters in the East Sea, the Spokesperson stressed.
A Viet Nam Foreign Ministry representative met with a Chinese Embassy delegate in Ha Noi to demand China correct its actions, he added.
