Speaker Damingiin Demberel reiterated that his country consistently attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with Việt Nam.

The two countries set up diplomatic relationship 56 years ago and the bilateral ties have been positively expanded through close coordination and mutual assistance, the guest noted.

Welcoming the Mongolian top lawmaker, PM Dũng stated that the two sides should devote more efforts to lifting the two way trade turnover to more impressive figures instead of some US $10 million in 2010.

The Vietnamese Government chief asked the two countries to expand cooperation in potential areas like agriculture, aquaculture, mineral and petroleum exploration, culture, education, and national defense.

Việt Nam also advocates Mongolia to deepen relations with other ASEAN member countries and to host the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum next year, PM Dũng confirmed.
