In 2019, the two nations will celebrate the 27th founding anniversary of Kazakhstan-Viet Nam diplomatic ties. Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin asserted that Kazakhstan is keen on promoting the parliamentary relations with the Vietnamese NA, announcing that he will pay an official visit to Viet Nam at the end of this year.
The two leaders expressed their delight at the two nations’ economic and trade ties, especially the implementation of the Viet Nam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (VN-EAEU FTA).
Ms. Ngan proposed enhancing aviation cooperation and reviewing the realization of the VN-EAEU FTA to take advantages of preferential and opportunities brought by the agreement for both nations.
She suggested that the two nations organize Viet Nam-Kazakhstan Economic Forum, exhibitions and fairs within the framework of the Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan’s upcoming visit to Viet Nam.
Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin expected the two sides will ink a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation to boost cooperation between the two parliaments.
Kazakhstan will consider advocating Viet Nam to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, confirmed Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, supposing that the two sides need to support each other to nominate at the United Nations agencies.
At the meeting, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin handed over an invitation letter to Ms. Ngan to attend the fourth Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Parliaments hosted by Kazakhstan.
