VN confirms three new imported COVID-19 cases

VGP – The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed three new COVID-19 cases this afternoon, bringing the country’s patient tally to 1,049.

Specifically, patient 1,047 is a 8-year old boy in Duy Tien District, Ha Nam Province.

Patient 1,048 is a 35-year old man in Phu Lo Commune, Soc Son District, Ha Noi.

Patient 1,049 is a 43-year old man from Quang Phuc Ward, Ba Bon Town, Quang Binh Province.

All of them returned to Ho Chi Minh City on September 1 from Ukraine and were immediately quarantined.

They are being isolated and treated at the Long Dien District Medical Center in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Of the country’s patient tally, 691 are locally-transmitted cases and the rest are imported cases.

As of 6:07 pm on Friday, 786 patients have fully recovered and 35 others died of COVID-19 and other chronic diseases.

The current active cases include eight patients under extremely serious health conditions, accounting for 3.3%./.
