VN chairs IAEA Committee's meeting

VGP - An annual meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s Technical Assistance and Cooperation Committee (TACC) will be held in Vienna, Austria from November 25-29.

It is the first meeting Viet Nam presides over in the working term in 2013-2014.

The TACC will consider the Report on evaluating technical cooperative activities of IAEA in 2013 and discuss technical cooperative programs proposed by the IAEA in 2014-2015, including five programs with Viet Nam in nuclear power, nuclear medicine, agriculture and industry.

Earlier, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Viet Nam, Chair of the Board of Governors Nguyen Thiep consulted with representatives from 34 IAEA members, Arabian nations and the EU to prepare for the meeting.

The representatives highly valued the efforts of Viet Nam as the Chair, confirming to support Viet Nam in fulfilling the mission.
