The international border gate of Mộc Bài
The new plan was agreed by the Vietnamese Land Transport Directorate and Cambodian Directorate of Transport at their annual meeting on December 27 in the southern city of Cần Thơ.
The new international border gates include Lệ Thanh (Gia Lai)-Oyadav (Andong Pich-Rattanakiri), Hoa Lư (Bình Phước)-Trapeang Sre (Snoul-Kratie), and Bu Prăng (Đắk Nông) - O Raing (Mundulkiri).
At the meeting, the two sides also discussed other issues of common interest, such as increasing the number of vehicles that are allowed to cross border, and facilitating Vietnamese automobiles carrying tourists to Cambodia.
The two countries have recently signed a deal to double the number of cross-border automobiles from 150 to 300, with the aim to boost two-way trade by 40% to reach US $2 billion in the next few years./.
