Politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, education and training are priorities in the two nations’ cooperation in the upcoming time, said Deputy PM Binh, suggesting the two sides join hands to organize activities to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties by 2020.
They agreed to soon organize the 24th session of the Viet Nam-Bulgaria Inter-Governmental Committee on economic, trade and scientific cooperation and trade promotion activities to seek for cooperative opportunities in advantageous areas.
Ekaterina Zaharieva congratulated Viet Nam on her increasing status in the world, asserting that Bulgaria regards Viet Nam as a prioritized partner in Asia.
Bulgaria advocates and makes efforts to enhance the early approval of the Viet Nam-EU Investment Protection Agreement to create force for economic, trade and investment ties between Viet Nam and other nations in the EU, including Bulgaria, he said.
The two sides reached consensus on strengthening cooperation at international forums and join hands in contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the world and the region, including the East Sea issue.
Bulgaria advocates addressing disputes through peaceful measures, ensuring to respect international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 and backing the guaranty of freedom of aviation and navigation and boosting multi-lateral cooperation to tackle common challenges.
