VN Airlines launches HCMC-Jakarta route

Viet Nam Airlines’ Executive Vice President Trinh Ngoc Thanh said the carrier plans to increase the flight frequency on the new route to 7 flights a week from the current 4.

Viet Nam Airlines has so far this year opened two international air routes, from Vietnamese cities to Chengdu (China) and Jakarta (Indonesia), he said.

At the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Nguyen Xuan Thuy said the launch of the direct flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta helps to boost not only the bilateral relations between Viet Nam and Indonesia, but also the ASEAN’s aviation industry to a common market.
