VINALINES and VNR to build railway network to big seaports

VNGOP– To connect the railway network of the Việt Nam Railway Corporation (VNR) to the seaports run by the Việt Nam National Shipping Lines (VINALINES), the two transport giants signed an agreement on comprehensive cooperation in multiform transport on October 26 in Hà Nội.

According to the agreement, VINALINES and VNR will join hands in building a railway network linking the ports of Cái Mép-Thị Vải (Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu), Hiệp Phước (Hồ Chí Minh City), Vân Phong International Entrepot (Khánh Hòa), Lạch Huyện and Đình Vũ international gateway ports (Hải Phòng) and Cái Lân (Quảng Ninh). 

The two corporations will also invest in inland container depots (ICD) at major economic zones throughout the country through founding a railway network for commodity transport.
