Viettel becomes member of Qorus Mobile Alliance

VGP – The Vietnamese Military-run Telecom Group Viettel has officially become the 10th member of the Malaysia-based Qorus Mobile Alliance, shaping the biggest consortium of leading mobile operators from around the world.

As an official member, Viettel can join in negotiation activities; bidding process of telecommunication services with multinational companies in any Qorus’smember countries, which strengthens Viettel’scoverage and network.
 
Moreover, this chance brings along many opportunities to reach international-quality services standard, such as: International Inbound Voice with incentive price, International Top-Up, money transfers, special Data roaming packag especially for 400 million customers in Qorus Mobile Alliance can use special Data package while roaming overseas.
 
Viettel’s Deputy CEO Le Dang Dung underlined that subscribers in Viet Nam would see more benefits in the coming time because Qorus members are in areas of dynamic economic growth where many Vietnamese people live.
 
From now, Viettel is equal to other members of the Alliance in negotiation, and telecommunications services bidding worldwide.
 
Thanks to that, its customers are able to access international quality services like economy international calls, international money transfer, and special data packages while using roaming service.
 
Established in June 2014 Qorus Mobile Alliance, the alliance set up its headquarters in Malaysia, including 10 members Smartone (Hong Kong – China), Smartone (Ma Cau – China), Celcom(Malaysia), Idea (India), M1 (Singapore), XL (Indonesia), Smart (Cambodia), Sun (the Philippines), Dialog (Sri Lanka) and Robi(Bangladesh). Presently the alliance enjoys a combined customer base of over 400 million mobile subscribers in its member markets.
