The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the RoK has officially allowed Vietnamese fresh mangoes to enter its market. It is the second fresh fruit after dragon fruit to be exported directly to Korean market.

To gain the RoK’s permission, Vietnamese mangoes have passed the Korean relevant agencies' evaluations of the growing, storing, processing and packaging process.

The RoK plant protection agency sent a delegation to Viet Nam earlier to inspect the process. They will be drawing up official standards Vietnamese mangoes must meet before they are exported to the RoK.
