Vietnamese, Japanese Foreign Ministers hold talks

Bui welcomed the Japanese diplomat's visit to Viet Nam which took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.

He underscored the necessity of effectively implementing new-generation official development assistance (ODA) for large-scale strategic infrastructure development projects in Viet Nam.

The Vietnamese minister suggested Japan support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more intensively in Japanese partners' global value chains.

The host called on Japan to further simplify procedures in visa issuance for Vietnamese citizens.  

Kamikawa, for her side, reiterated that Japan attaches importance to fostering the bilateral relations in an increasingly strong and substantive manner across all sectors.

She vowed to increase assistance for Viet Nam to realize its long-term strategic visions and goals during the 2030-2045 period.

Japan considers Viet Nam a crucial and potential market and partner, she noted, expressing her hope that Viet Nam would continue improving its investment environment.

Cooperation in new areas such as digital transformation and green energy and high-quality human resource training will be also key sectors in Viet Nam-Japan cooperation in the time ahead, she added.

Both sides pledged to enhance high-ranking exchanges and meetings, particularly visits by senior leaders on the occasion of the the 50th founding anniversary of bilateral ties.

They also consented to continue boosting economic cooperation, local-to-local cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.    

Regarding international and regional issues of shared concerns, both diplomats reiterated resolve to forge closer coordination to make contributions to regional peace and stability as well as continue enhancing mutual advocate at multi-lateral forums and international organizations./.
