General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh called upon all ethnic groups, living in Việt Nam, to continue pursuing the tradition of national solidarity and tap respective potentials for national development.

The Party and NA leaders highlighted the huge contributions and sacrifice of ethnic minorities to the revolutionary cause and national construction.

The Party and State will continue to pay greater attention to essential issues of ethnic minorities for poverty reduction, better manpower and improved infrastructure, said Mr. Mạnh.

Earlier, the exhibition on Vietnamese ethnic minorities was kicked off on May 9 in Hà Nội to display the Party and State’s cultural and economic policies for ethnic minority groups in the period of 2005-2009.
