Vietnamese, Czech PMs hold phone talks over COVID-19 fight

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan on Monday held phone talks with Czech counterpart Andrej Babis to discuss cooperation in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Andrej Babis appreciated the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries as well as the positive developments of the bilateral ties over the past time.

He spoke highly of Viet Nam’s efforts in combating the disease, expressing his wish to share information and strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam in the disease prevention and control.

Meanwhile, Phuc said Viet Nam stands ready to collaborate with the Czech Republic and all the other partners in dealing with this global-level medical crisis.

He pledged to direct competent agencies to create favorable conditions for Czech nationals to return home in the time to come.

The Vietnamese Government chief took the occasion to extend thanks to the Government, Parliament and people of the Czech Republic for their support for advancing the Viet Nam-EU comprehensive cooperation and for accelerating the ratification of the trade and investment deals between Viet Nam and the EU.

He also appreciated and extended thanks to the Government and people of Czech Republic for their care for the Vietnamese community in the European country.

Phuc invited the Czech PM to pay an official visit to Viet Nam on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the bilateral ties and the latter accepted the invitation with pleasure./.
