Vietnamese craft villages highlighted at expo

VGP - The 2012 Viet Nam Craft Villages Exhibition-Fair is taking place in the northern province of Nam Dinh from September 25, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced.

The expo, to run through September 30, showcases products made by craft villages in of 37 cities and provinces nationwide at over 300 booths.

During the expo, a seminar entitled “Developing craft villages in connection with tourism, various cultural and arts activities such as puppetry shows, bamboo handicraft making and silk weaving will also be held and culinary arts will be introduced.

A total of 218 handicrafts articles are being displayed at the expo to vy for the organizers’ prizes.
