The two ministers held that security and law enforcement cooperation between the two ministries has continued to play a pivotal role, contributing to elevating the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new level.

The two sides have closely coordinated to maintain political stability, combat transnational crime, ensure security and safety during high-level visits, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of their citizens in each other's countries.

To further build on the achievements of bilateral cooperation in the spirit of the Joint Statement issued during General Secretary and President To Lam's State visit to China in last April, the two sides vowed to step up information sharing and enhance coordination in combating traditional and non-traditional crimes, thereby contributing to safeguarding the peaceful and happy lives of their peoples.

During the visit, Luong had a meeting with Vice Mayor of Shanghai and the Director of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau Zhang Yahong./.
