He proposed both sides strengthen bilateral economic ties, soon implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two ministries, which was inked in December last year, and organize their first political consultation.
Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, for his part, suggested the two nations complete negotiations to early sign a MoU on cooperation in agriculture, asserting that Benin stands ready to support Viet Nam to boost collaboration with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
They vowed to increase all-level delegation exchanges, facilitate their businesses to step up trade and investment promotion and agriculture cooperation.
Both diplomats pledged to soon sign a visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports, and other documents, to create favorable legal frameworks for bilateral cooperation./.
