The event took place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam's National Day, which attracted the participation of more than 400 delegates from Japan and other countries around the world.
Princess Tsuguko of Takamado and State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and State Minister of the Cabinet Office Koga Yuichiro attended the event.
In his opening remarks, Le highlighted the significance of the EXPO 2025, which created an opportunity for nations to share cultural values and advanced scientific and technological achievements, promote common solutions, and strengthen cooperation in implementing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, toward a more prosperous and sustainable future.
Viet Nam has always regarded Japan as a top partner, a sincere and trustworthy friend, accompanying the Southeast Asian nation over the past decades, emphasized the official.
He expressed his belief that friendship and cooperation between the two nations will enter a new stage of development, towards a more comprehensive, strategic, and profound manner in all fields, for the benefit of their peoples, and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Addressing the event, Yuichiro, for his part, underlined that the diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries have been continuously nurtured over the years.
Japan welcomes Viet Nam's orientation in the new era and will continue to strengthen ties with Viet Nam in the coming time in such areas as semiconductors, decarbonization–energy, as well as security, noted the Japanese official.
