Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made the above statement on Saturday in response to a question on Viet Nam’s reaction to the decision of the US Trade Representative on 23 July regarding the investigation into Viet Nam’s monetary policy.
Under the decision, the USTR has determined that no trade action against Viet Nam is warranted at this time.
This is an encouraging follow-up to the agreement reached on July 19 between the State Bank of Viet Nam and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, said Le.
This is also the fruit of the constructive dialogue in good faith between the two sides to resolve the bottlenecks in their bilateral economic ties, as both countries strive towards fostering stable, long-standing, and mutually beneficial relations in line with their Comprehensive Partnership./.
