Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and British Ambassador to Viet Nam Gareth Ward sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on vocational training cooperation between Viet Nam and the United Kingdom, Ha Noi, April 5, 2022.

The MoU aims to create a legal framework for the bilateral cooperation between the two nations in vocational training, making contributions to developing vocational training in Viet Nam.

Contents of the MoU include sharing professional knowledge on vocational training, supporting the development and implementation of sustainable vocational training policies, sharing experiences on improving the quality of vocational training  and mobilizing the participation of businesses to ensure the supply and demand of the sector.

Meanwhile, cooperation in improving the capacity of administration, leadership, teaching and capacity assessment at vocational training facilities, promotion of digital technology in online training; improvement of the vocational training institution and development of a database system on vocational training are also key contents of the MoU.

Remarkably, both nations will foster partnership between their vocational training facilities, mutually recognize certificates and training programs within the framework of vocational training and implement language programs in line with vocational training.

Addressing the event, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung spoke highly of assistance from the UK over the recent years, particularly in vocational training via the British Council.

Viet Nam is currently home to 1,929 vocational training facilities, noted Dao./.
