Accordingly, the national textbook series published by the Viet Nam Education Publishing House will be used consistently across the country.
The ministry reported that the series comprehensively cover all subjects and educational activities across the primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary levels. It has been adopted in 34 provinces and cities, serving the largest number of students among all existing textbook series.
Its scientific and pedagogical quality have been validated through practical implementation. In addition, the series offer the highest level of content stability, strong potential for efficient revisions, and readiness for large-scale deployment. The publisher has sufficient logistical capacity to distribute textbooks nationwide, ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted supply.
The ministry emphasized that the series will minimize disruptions for teachers, students, and parents. Teachers are already familiar with its lesson structure and instructional approaches, as it is currently the most widely used textbook set nationwide.
With a single textbook series, students across Viet Nam—regardless of region—will have equitable access to knowledge. The consistent curriculum from Grades 1 to 12 ensures seamless knowledge progression and helps prevent learning gaps, particularly for students in disadvantaged conditions or those whose families relocate during the school year.
By 2030, all textbooks will be provided free of charge, reducing the financial burden on families. As the books are gradually digitized, students will also gain access to open learning platforms, exercises, videos, and simulations—tools designed to increase engagement, promote independent learning, and support lifelong education./.
