
General Secretary To Lam presides over the working session with the Central Commission for Internal Affairs to discuss anti-corruption work, Ha Noi, March 2, 2026
During the working session, the participants commented on the Project for reviewing 20-year implementation of the Resolution on strengthening the Party's leadership over corruption and wastefulness prevention and control work.
The participants also deliberated on a draft Resolution on prevention and control of corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena for the new period.
Addressing the event, General Secretary To Lam highly valued the Central Commission for Internal Affairs' efforts in coordinating closely with relevant agencies to promptly formulate the Project. He urged the Commission to finalize the Project with highest quality and submit it to the Politburo and the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam for consideration and decision.
The Party leader stressed that prevention and control of corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena is an especially important, regular and long-term task of the Party building and rectification work.
He reiterated that resolutely and unwaveringly combating and pushing back corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena is the consistent policy of the Party and State of Viet Nam.
The adoption of a new Resolution on prevention and control of corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena at the upcoming second plenum of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam will demonstrate the Party's special attention to this work, with new mindset, new approach in the next period.
The General Secretary affirmed to continue resolutely and persistently fighting corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena; handling cases strictly, humanely, and persuasively, without any forbidden areas or exceptions; controlling key and crucial sectors, and new areas with high potential for corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena.
Simultaneously, anti-corruption work must accompany the task of socio-economic development, serving the goal for double-digit growth in the coming years; creating a transparent environment and ensuring a safe legal framework so that people and businesses can confidently invest, produce, and conduct business, and cadres and Party members can boldly innovate, be creative, and dare to think and act for the common good.
