To underscored the significance of the Singaporean Minister's visit to Viet Nam, especially in the context of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic partnership between the two countries.
Both sides noted that bilatereal cooperation between the two agencies has been promoted across all aspects, from delegation exchanges, to crime prevention, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue, digital transformation and establishment of the national population data center.
Regarding high-tech crime combat, both sides have effectively implemented outcomes of the ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in cyber security, cybercrime prevention, and personal data protection in October 2022.
The pair agreed to mull over the signing of agreements on extradition, transfer of sentenced persons, mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, and a MoU on cooperation in digital transformation.
The Singaporean minister said Singapore would share experience and provide the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security with machines and equipment to serve for crime prevention work and building a large database platform./.
