Viet Nam sets anti-human trafficking day

VGP – The PM has decided to take July 30 as the national day for anti-human trafficking.

The Ministry of Public Security was asked to work with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to organize the national day with the aim of encouraging people across the country to join in combating human trafficking.

The day will provide an occasion where organizations and individuals prominent in anti-human trafficking will be commended.

The Ministry of Information and Communications was assigned to disseminate the day.

Earlier, the United Nations launched the World Day Against Trafficking Persons for the first time on July 30, 2014, aiming to raise awareness worldwide to put an end to human trafficking./.
