Viet Nam runs trade surplus of US$13.25 bln by mid-July

In the first 15 days of July, the nation gained US$13.81 billion from exporting, raising the total export value from the beginning of the year to July 15 to US$178.5 billion, down 11.4 percent.

Meanwhile, during the reviewed period, the nation spent US$ 165.2 billion on imports, down 18.4 percent.

Viet Nam's total exports and imports saw a year-on-year decrease of 14.9 percent, reaching US$343.65 billion.

The nation's import value from major markets dropped in comparison with the same period last year, remarkably China (US$50.09 billion, down 18.7 percent), South Korea (US$24.2 billion, down 25.6 percent), ASEAN (US$20.3 billion, down 16.9 percent) and Japan (US$9.8 billion, down 18.7 percent)./.
