Viet Nam reports 38th Coronavirus-related death

The latest death is a 64-year-old woman who had suffered from chronic hepatitis B over the last ten years and got liver cancer four month ago.

She was admitted to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on May 4, confirmed positive for COVID-19 on May 8, and then transferred to extensive care unit where doctors put her on a ventilator.

She also needed blood transfusion and anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal drugs, according to the ministry.

However, the woman could not survive and passed away on May 19 due to severe illness./.
