Viet Nam reports 3,878 new COVID-19 cases, highest in four months

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,878 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the highest daily number in more than four months.

The latest infections bring Viet Nam's COVID-19 caseload to 11,428,632, reported the ministry.

The same day, there were additional 14,927 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 10,252,898.

The ministry also announced further two fatalities, raising the country's COVID-19 death toll to 43,125 or 0.4 percent of the national patien tally.

The Southeast Asian nation has administered 257,671,610 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 137,243 doses from Tuesday.

The ministry publishes daily numbers on cases, recoveries, deaths, and vaccination progress./.
