The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from March 1-August 2, 2022

The same day, there were 9,668 patients declared free of the virus, taking the total number of recoveries at 9,932,712.

The ministry also announced further one fatality, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,094 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered 246,381,970 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of  304,531 doses from Monday./.
