The Deputy Spokesperson was responding to claims alleging that the Vietnamese authorities were "uncooperative" during the search for the missing aircraft in March 2014 during a press conference in Ha Noi on April 6.
Ms. Hang said that in the immediate aftermath of the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in March 2014, the Vietnamese authorities prepared a response plan, shared information, coordinated with Malaysia and other countries to conduct a wide-scale search and rescue, and supported foreign journalists on reporting on the incident.
Those efforts at the time were acknowledged by the international community and reflected by the press in Viet Nam and abroad, she said.
"As we all know, so far, competent authorities have not given an official conclusion on the MH370 incident," the diplomat stressed.
Viet Nam urged the producers and filmmakers accurately portray Viet Nam’s contributions in the search and rescue for the plane and to remove or revise inaccurate information.
The disappearance of flight MH370 is one of the world's biggest aviation mysteries when the Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared en route from Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur to China's Beijing on March 8, 2014.
The rescue effort drew the participation of many countries, territories and international organizations, including the active participation of Viet Nam./.
