Viet Nam looks to welcome 22-23 million international visitors in 2025

VGP - Viet Nam targets to attract 22-23 million international tourists this year, surpassing the pre-pandemic levels, according to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

To fulfill this goal, the tourism sector will focus on potential markets such as India and open more direct air routes while spuring tourism promotion activities.

In 2024, international arrivals to Viet Nam reached more than 17.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 39.5 percent. 

The South Korea remained the biggest tourist source market in 2024 with 4.5 million visitors, accounting for 26 percent of the total number of foreign arrivals, followed by China with 3.7 million (21.3 percent).

Also in 2024, Viet Nam was recognized by the World Travel Awards as "Asia's Leading Destination," "Asia's Leading Heritage Destination," and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination"./.
