Viet Nam, Laos sign important cooperation documents

The exchange took place as part of General Secretary To Lam's two-day State visit to Laos, during which he will attend a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Lao National Day and co-chair a high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

These documents include:

- The cooperation plan for 2026 between the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos;

- The agreement between the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos on the construction of a command center for the Lao Ministry of Public Security; 

- The cooperation plan for 2026 between the Ministry of National Defense of Viet Nam and the Ministry of National Defense of Laos;

 - The MoU between the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and the Ministry of National Defense of Laos on building a Viet Nam–Laos friendship road; 

- The cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos for the 2026-2030 period;

- The  cooperation agreement between and the Ministry of Justice of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Justice of Laos for the 2026–2030 period;

- The MoU on cooperation in key banking activities for the 2026–2030 period;

- The MoU between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos on developing industrial linkage chains;

- The cooperation agreement between Viet Nam Television (VTV) and the LPRP's Commission for Propaganda and Training;

- The cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam and the Laos' Central External Relations Commission for the 2026-2030;

- The cooperation agreement between Viet Nam's Thanh Hoa province and Laos' Houaphanh province; 

- The MoU on cooperation between Viet Nam's Da Nang Ccity and Laos' Sekong province for the 2026-2030 period./.
