The latest patients were detected in 39 localities: Ha Noi (151), Da Nang (64), Phu Tho (56), Yen Bai (46), Lai Chau (45), Nghe An (37), Bac Ninh (36), Lao Cai (28), Hai Duong (27), Tuyen Quang (27), Vinh Phuc (25), Hoa Binh (25), Quang Binh (25), Quang Ninh (24), Bac Kan (23), Nam Dinh (22), Ho Chi Minh City (19), Son La (16), Thai Binh (16), Thai Nguyen (15), Ha Nam (15), Hung Yen (13), Ha Giang (12), Cao Bang (11), Ninh Binh (11), Lam Dong (10), Quang Tri (9), Lang Son (8 ), Dien Bien (8 ), Ha Tinh (7), Thanh Hoa (6), Quang Ngai (4), Bac Giang (4), Gia Lai (2), Khanh Hoa (2), Tay Ninh (2), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (2), Vinh Long (2), and Binh Duong (1).

The same day, there were 6,365 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 9,568,888.

 The ministry said no COVID-19 fatality was reported over the last week, which means the death toll remains unchanged at 43,083.
