Viet Nam documents additional 806 COVID-19 cases

VGP - The Ministry of Health confirmed 806 new cases of COVID-19 on June 6, raising the national caseload to 10,726,045.

Thanks to low infection rate, Viet Nam reopens borders to international tourists from March 15

The latest infections were detected in 45 provinces and cities in which Ha Noi reported the most with 204 cases, followed by the northern provinces of Bac Ninh (76), Yen Bai (64), and Hai Duong (42).

The same day, there were additional 9,026 recoveries, raising the total number of recovered cases to 9,513,981, said the ministry.

Among the current active cases, 51 patients are depending on supplemental oxygen. 

The ministry also announced further one fatality over the past 24 hours, brining the death toll to 43,081, or 0.4 percent of the national caseload. 

The Southeast Asian nation has administered 222,072,995 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 49,776 doses from Sunday./.
