Viet Nam documents 3,088 new COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,088 COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, taking Viet Nam's COVID-19 patient tally to 10,662,446.

The latest patients were recorded in 48 cities and provinces, namely Ha Noi (705), Phu Tho (268), Vinh Phuc (198), Nghe An (133), Quang Ninh (130), Bac Kan (126), Yen Bai (116), Hai Duong (114), Tuyen Quang (106), Lao Cai (102), Hung Yen (73), Quang Binh (60), Ha Giang (58), Thai Binh (55), Ha Nam (54), Lam Dong (52), Cao Bang (49), Quang Tri (45), Thai Nguyen (44), Ha Tinh (43), Quang Ngai (38), Ninh Binh (38), Ho Chi Minh City (36), Hai Phong (35), Dak Nong (33), Nam Dinh (33), Hoa Binh (32), Son La (30), Binh Duong (29), Bac Giang (25), Lai Chau (25), Da Nang (24), Gia Lai (23), Thanh Hoa (21), Lang Son (21), Binh Phuoc (17), Tay Ninh (16), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (14), Ca Mau (11), Vinh Long (10), Ben Tre (9), Soc Trang (8 ), Thua Thien Hue (7), Binh Thuan (6), Binh Dinh (6), Khanh Hoa (5), Dien Bien (3), and Kien Giang (2).

The same day, there were additional 42,055 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 9,309,336, reported the ministry.

The ministry also announced further three fatalities, raising the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,047 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The Southeast Asian nation has administered 215,022,051 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 17,009 doses from Tuesday./.
