The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from March 1-26, 2022

The latest COVID-19 patients comprise two imported cases and 103,124 domestic infections in all 63 cities and provinces: Ha Noi (9,623), Phu Tho (4,679), Nghe An (4,362), Bac Giang (4,000), Yen Bai (3,995), Lao Cai (3,557), Dak Lak (3,443), Lang Son (3,010), Thai Binh (2,865), Ha Giang (2,659), Quang Ninh (2,640), Quang Binh (2,626), Bac Ninh (2,590), Vinh Phuc (2,582), Thai Nguyen (2,500), Son La (2,384), Tuyen Quang (2,180), Bac Kan (2,159), Hai Duong (1,952), Cao Bang (1,949), Gia Lai (1,945), Ca Mau (1,840), Hung Yen (1,830), Hoa Binh (1,815), Lam Dong (1,786), Binh Dinh (1,775), Lai Chau (1,671), Vinh Long (1,601), Dien Bien (1,542), Quang Tri (1,537), Ninh Binh (1,521), Ha Nam (1,507), Tay Ninh (1,338), Binh Duong (1,229), Ho Chi Minh City (1,059), Binh Phuoc (1,045), Phu Yen (938), Tra Vinh (933), Kon Tum (927), Ha Tinh (926), Dak Nong (826), Nam Dinh (817), Ben Tre (808), Thanh Hoa (766), Thua Thien-Hue (668), Da Nang (655), Quang Ngai (651), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (629), Khanh Hoa (534), Hai Phong (483), Binh Thuan (375), Quang Nam (315), Bac Lieu (227), An Giang (170), Long An (152), Kien Giang (142), Dong Nai (105), Can Tho (83), Soc Trang (78), Ninh Thuan (43), Hau Giang (39), Dong Thap (27) and Tien Giang (11).

In addition, the Departments of Health of Nam Dinh reported additional 55,179 cases.

The above patients bring Saturday's total cases to 158,305 and Viet Nam's patient tally to 8,919,557.

The same day, the ministry reported additional 164,553 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 5,166,117.

It also announced further 62 fatalities, raising the nation's death toll to 42.258 or 0.5 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered 204,861,158 vaccine doses, an increase of 195,149 doses from Friday.

Accelerating COVID-19 vaccination

Last week, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged the Ministry of Health to mull over vaccinating children aged 3-5.

The Government chief also tasked the ministry to consider rolling out the fourth vaccine dose to individuals aged 18 and above./.
