Viet Nam confirms six new COVID-19 cases

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed six new community infection cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, raising the national patient tally to 2,432.

All the latest cases were recorded in the northern province of Hai Duong.

With these cases, the total number of local infections rose to 837 in 13 provinces and cities since January 27.

The same day, five more patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 1,844.

The nation is placing 63,998 people under medical surveillance and quarantine nationwide. Of these, 561 are being kept at hospitals, 11,995 at State-designated facilities and 51,442 at places of residence.

As the COVID-19 situation has been brought under control, Ha Noi and several other localities have decided to reopen schools next week.
