Viet Nam confirms 86,054 new COVID-19 cases

Ha Noi remains the epicenter of the current COVID-19 wave with additional 7,734 cases followed by the central provinces of An (3,226) and Dak Lak (3,099).

The same day, the ministry reported additional 87,463 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 7,606,476.

The ministry also announced further 33 fatalities, bringing the nation's death toll to 42,526 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The Southeast Asian nation has administered 206,338,189 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 231,292 doses from Thursday./.
