Viet Nam confirms 1,717 new COVID-19 cases
VGP – There were 1,717 COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health.

The latest patients include one imported case and 1,716 domestic infection cases recorded in 48 provinces and cities in which Ha Noi still reported the most with 381 cases, followed by the central province of Nghe An and the northern province of Phu Tho with 126 and 111 cases, respectively.
The same day, the Department of Health of Bac Giang province announced additional 1,012 cases, raising total cases on Thursday to 2,729 and Viet Nam's national COVID-19 patient tally to 10,704,524.
An additional 9,587 patients were declared free of the virus, taking the total number of recoveries at 9,382,881.
The ministry also reported one more fatality, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,073 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.
The nation has administered 218,140,778 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 559,511 doses from Wednesday./.
