Viet Nam Confirms 10 New COVID-19 Cases

VGP – Ten Vietnamese returnees were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the national caseload to 2,843, according to the Ministry of Health.

Specifically, patient 2834 is a 23-year-old man who took flight JL751 from Japan to Ha Noi on April 23.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 2835 is a 54-year-old woman who flew from Japan to the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on April 24.

She is being treated at the locality’s Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

Patient 2836 is a 19-year-old girl who was repatriated from Germany on April 10.

She is being treated at the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

Patients 2837-2840, aged between 22 and 25, were brought home from Japan on April 22.

They are being treated at the the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

Patient 2841 is a 25-year-old man who took VietJet Air flight VJ3631 from Japan to the central city of Da Nang on April 23.

He is being treated at the city’s Hospital for Lung Diseases.

Patient 2842 is a 26-year-old man who took VietJet Air flight VJ8859 from Japan to Da Nang on April 23.

He is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

Patient 2843 is a 24-year-old woman who was brought home from Russia on April 21.

She is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

Viet Nam is placing more than 40,840 people under medical surveillance and quarantine nationwide to prevent spread of the virus to the communities./.
