At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham congratulated Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou took office in Viet Nam on the occasion of two countries' 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1992-2022).
He affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Belarus.
Sharing Viet Nam's socio-economic development and foreign policy achievements in 2022, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the mutual sharing of medical equipment and supplies for COVID-19 prevention and control, a noble symbol of the traditional friendship between the two peoples.
Prime Minister Pham suggested the two sides strengthen the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, to discuss measures to enhance multifaceted cooperation between Viet Nam and Belarus, especially economic-trade collaboration.
The Vietnamese leader also asked Belarus to support the views and stances of ASEAN and Viet Nam on the East Sea issue. He hoped the two sides would strengthen cooperation in agriculture, the automobile industry and food and energy security.
Pham also asked Belarus to create favorable conditions for more Vietnamese goods to enter the Belarusian market and for the Ambassador to closely coordinate with Vietnamese agencies to promote trade, investment and tourism cooperation.
For his part, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou said that Belarus attaches great importance to the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He also agreed with the orientations on promoting collaboration outlined by the Vietnamese Prime Minister.
The Ambassador affirmed that during his term, he will make every effort to contribute to further promoting the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, focusing on economy and trade./.
