Vietnamese, Azerbaijani defense ministers hold talks in Ha Noi
VGP - Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang and Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev vowed to enhance defense industry cooperation in line with the interests and needs of both sides, during their talks held in Ha Noi on December 25.

Phan said Viet Nam always attaches great importance to consolidating and strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation with Azerbaijan. He hailed the two countries' decision to elevate bilateral ties into a Strategic Partnership in recent May.
The Vietnamese minister suggested the two sides focus on promoting the signing of cooperation documents on defense industry to create a legal framework for deeper collaboration in this field while actively enhancing all-level delegation exchanges.
The host also suggested the two countries join hands in organizing defense industry exhibitions, promote military trade cooperation, joint research and production, and technology transfer; and step up collaboration in training high-quality human resources.
Viet Nam plans to organize the third Viet Nam International Defense Expo in 2026, he shared, inviting Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry to attend the event.
Mustafayev, for his part, reiterated that Azerbaijan stands ready to foster cooperation with Viet Nam across agreed areas, especially defense industry, contributing to deepening and enhancing the effectiveness of the bilateral relations in the time ahead./.
