Viet Nam appoints new Ambassador to Cambodia

President Nguyen handed over the appointment decision to the diplomat at a ceremony on Wednesday, emphasizing that this is a duty of great importance.

The diplomat was tasked to put forward measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation, contribute to deepening political trust and fostering completion of border demarcation and land marker planting between the two countries among others.

Viet Nam and Cambodia established diplomatic ties on June 24, 1967, marking a new chapter in the history of the relationship between the two neighboring countries./.
