Vice President for the People Vice Presidency at the WB Mamta Murthi (L) presents the award to Vietnamese Ambassador to the U.S. Nguyen Quoc Dung

The award was recently presented to Vietnamese Ambassador to the U.S. by Vice President for the People Vice Presidency at the WB Mamta Murthi.

This recognition by multilateral financial institutions acknowledges the country's achievements in developing and utilizing human resources and reflects improvements in competitiveness and evolution in the labor market.

These outcomes are linked to the implementation of policies on public health protection and care, as well as education and workforce training development through 2030.

Viet Nam's HCI+ results in 2026 are not only related to education and healthcare but also tied to public financial management, showing the country's ability to transform public budget investments in education and healthcare into tangible economic outcomes.

The quality of public spending associated with educational outcomes demonstrates efficiency in allocating resources to the knowledge sector.

The WB has noted Viet Nam's improvements in wage employment, reflecting stronger alignment between financial resources for training and labor market demands.

Compared to other countries in the region and those with similar income levels, Viet Nam has achieved higher efficiency in converting skills into jobs and real income.

Being honored in HCI+ 2026 once again confirms the soundness of Viet Nam's people-centered development strategy, while also demonstrating the effectiveness of allocating and utilizing national financial resources—an essential factor for competitiveness in the new era.

This achievement is not only an international recognition but also a driving force for Viet Nam to continue strong financial policy reforms, prioritizing the attraction and effective management of resources, including ODA and concessional loans, to improve the quality of human resources in the 2026–2030 period./.
